Letter from the LPEAF President

On behalf of the members of the Lakewood Police Department, I would like to thank you for your support of the Lakewood Police Employee Assistance Foundation.  Because of your generosity, we have been able to help many of our employees when they have encountered difficult personal or financial hardships.  I would like to ask for your continued financial support again by donating to LPEAF in 2012.  This can be done online at http://lakewood.cshares.org/ or by completing a paper form that has been placed throughout the police department.  It is important to remember that you must sign up every year to participate in this program.  Your donation from the previous year will not continue into the next year.

The LPEAF board has diligently and consciously done our best to ensure that your money is spent appropriately and responsibly.  The board has always kept members’ wishes in mind as we evaluate specific requests for assistance.  It is our promise and commitment to continue to do this for every request.  We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and sacrifice.

As a gesture of our appreciation, every person who donates to LPEAF will receive either a Quill pen or a notebook.  Funds to pay for these items came from the golf tournament and are not part of LPEAF funds.  The board realizes that this is a small token of our thanks but we would like to honor your commitment to such a good cause.  Please contact me or board members Rob Buchan, Cindy Schneider, or Jason Ezell and let us know which item you would prefer to receive as thanks for your donation.

Thank you for your support.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact an LPEAF board member.

Sincerely,
Dan McCasky, LPEAF President
